More about Allegro
The restaurant offers outdoor terrace seating where one can choose to have his or her meals while taking advantage of the amazing view. The restaurant can accommodate 70 guests because the terrace seats offer additional 40 seats. Allegro’s atmosphere is modern, comfortable and casual, but with classy overtones.
Allegro cuisine thoroughly reflects the Italian flavors. The dishes are relatively simple but they are refined in their execution and preparation. Often, they offer a certain flair that is unique to Allegro alone. One will enjoy an ala carte menu if he or she chooses to have his or her breakfast at this restaurant. Lunch and dinner, however, offer Italian, Mediterranean and Continental cuisines. There are dashes of Bohemian creations that are the specialties of the chef Andrea Accordi. It is not surprising why it has been named one of the best restaurants in country. Of course, it can no longer be reputed that Allegro is one of the best restaurants in the world. It is actually the only restaurant in the whole Czech Republic or in all of Central and Eastern Europe that has earned a Michelin star. This is one of the many distinctions of Allegro.
What about the Chef?
Andrea Accordi is not a native of the Czech Republic. The Italians must be pleased to know that he is an Italian chef. He is also the first chef to have received a Michelin star in all of Eastern Europe. This award is actually a great accomplishment for a very young chef. Of course, he did not get it while working at Allegro. He actually received his first star while working as the chef of Villa La Vedetta in Italy. He earned his second star while working in Allegro. This was the first star to have been ever received by anyone in that area. He caused a relatively good stir when he was awarded the Michelin star.
Chef Accordi started his chef job in Mantova, but he also went on a culinary exile and traveled to Saint Tropez, London and Switzerland. He credits his success to a lot of hard work and willingness to sacrifice. He also knows that experience plays a crucial role in a chef’s success. This is why he traveled all around the world picking out culinary techniques along the way. He knows the importance of discovering different cultures. He knows that ultimately, culture provides boundless inspirations to chefs.
