Walls are lined with silver vases overflowing with gorgeous bouquets. It is known for its sumptuous cuisines and wine selection. There are some people who consider the restaurant as the best in Italy; although, there are some who consider this establishment as an Italian rip-off.
Regardless of varying opinions, it cannot be denied that the restaurant is one of the best in the world. After all, it has landed the 72nd spot in El Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants. We can give the credit to its chef, Annie Feolde, a Frenchwoman who has perfected a highly sophisticated style of cooking.
Let’s Get to Know Enoteca Pinchiorri
You will likely frown at the prices of the restaurant’s dishes, but trust the expert – or rather the Michelin Guide – those dishes are worth every cent. You will find interesting pastas like the restaurant’s famous ignudi which is ricotta and spinach dumplings with lobster and coxcomb fricassee. Aside from the food, diners also enjoy the vast selections of wine. The service is exceptionally good.
Enoteca Pinchiorri is one of the few restaurants in the country with three Michelin stars. This is not an easy feat for a woman chef, but it is definitely easy to understand why the restaurant easily caught the fancy of the Michelin Guide. Practically everyone who has experienced dining at this restaurant would offer a raving review. The chef deserves all the honor.
What is it about Chef Annie Feolde?
Top chef, Annie Feolde is the first woman in Italy to have received 3 Michelin stars. She uses the best ingredients; although, these ingredients are a tad unusual. You would think that she practices magic instead of culinary arts once you get hold a list of her ingredients. Still, no matter how weird her ingredients are, her dishes always come out great. Every bite releases a rich savory flavor. It is not surprising why this chef has three stars to her name.
Her story can be likened to a fairy tale. She grew up in the south of France. She did not pursue a culinary course. On the contrary, she taught herself how to cook. From France, she moved to Tuscany and never left. She started cooking for a wine diplomat, Giorgio Pinchiorri. She started the business with Giorgio as her “sommelier.” He chose the wine and she served a few dishes along with his selections. Over time, she discovered her love for cooking and this became her passion. Nowadays, you would find the aromas of her culinary creations wafting through Enoteca Pinchiorri’s frescoed ceilings.
