These are the creations of Chef Yannick Alleno. One can only say that this chef’s creations are both modern and audacious. His primary goal is to create dishes that will please his customers. This is the law he lives by.
Oh Glorious Le Meurice!
Le Meurice is a breathtaking place. The furniture, the décor, the service – all these things contribute to creating a memorable dining experience. You will see a plate collection that the chef made himself. The restaurant offers more than 500 bottles of different kinds of wines, the oldest of which is Chateau Cos D’Estournel. It is highly unlikely that you will get bored while dining at Le Meurice. You will come out completely satiated from feasting on Chef Yannick Alleno’s creations.
Let’s Get to Know Yannick
Chef Yannick Alleno thinks of himself as a culinary director. He likens his kitchen to a symphonic group with him as the conductor. His culinary creations are often subtle but surprisingly eccentric. He practices tremendous control when creating his curiously audaciously delicious dishes. He calls his creations, “Parisian cuisine.” He favors French produces for ingredients. He transports seasonal products the minute he can get hold of them. Accordingly, he makes sure that Le Meurice’s menu evolves along with the season and the produces available.
Like other chefs, however, Chef Alleno does not just stick to French cuisine. His culinary travels have taught him various cuisines as well. He draws inspirations from his knowledge of various cuisines and he infuses this knowledge into his cooking. You can see this in one of his famous dishes, the delicate jelly of whelk to the sea urchin tongues, rice cream and seaweed crust. This is obviously Japanese inspired. This chef really likes to swing from the more traditional methods and cuisines to the more modern flavors. He has practically mastered his craft and he has perfected his knowledge of various culinary cultures. His work is precise without room for lavish flavors. Still, all his dishes are rich in flavors and perfectly presented.
Chef Alleno is very passionate about his craft and art and this shows with every dish and every bite.
