There are plenty of toxins present in our environment. All of these can accumulate in our bodies and can affect our health. We have different detoxification programs, but it is up to us to choose which ones should be followed. We can detoxify our bodies for a minimum period of three days. However, such a method is not recommended because your health could be compromised. Changing your eating habits and taking food supplements could also help free your body from harmful substances.

The following are simple information and methods that we can consider to remove toxins from our body.

  • We should drink water at least two quarts a day. Drinking water helps clean your body because it drains different toxins from your system. It also aids in digestion since they help break down food in your stomach easily.
  • We should exercise daily. Having regular exercise, including walking, jogging, and stretching, allows us to release harmful chemicals by sweating. Engaging in various sports and other recreational activities also detoxify our bodies. In addition, such activities help us stay fit and remain healthy. They also strengthen our heart and improve blood circulation.
  • Enzymes are important aspects of any detoxification program. They also constitute one of the key elements for maintaining overall health. The best sources of enzymes are raw fruits and vegetables. You must eat them in between meals to enable our body to absorb them easily.
  • Detoxify with steam baths and saunas. There are many ways to clean your skin but going to the sauna and steam baths helps us release free radicals through perspiration. Another option is to have a detoxification bath at least once a week to eliminate heavy metals from your body.

More so, there are also different ways on how a chef could help us remove toxins from our bodies.

  • Chefs should prepare detoxifying foods. The chef should add special ingredients, which makes us hale and healthy, to our meals. These include various types of vegetables such as broccoli, seaweeds, cabbage, radish, artichokes, and beets.
  • Chefs should avoid cooking meat. When a chef is preparing for a menu, he or she should limit the amount of meat in the food as much as possible. Meat is hard to digest and it requires a lot of enzyme and gastric juices to break it down.
  • Chefs should also prepare different juices. A chef can prepare juices from extracts of various vegetables, including carrot and bitter melon. Different fruit juices, including pineapple, orange, apple, mango, and many more could also help remove harmful substances from our bodies.

Aside from flushing out toxins from our system, drinking fruit and vegetable juices for three to seven days provides us vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that our body needs.

However, going on a fruit juice diet is not advisable during workdays because you may not have the energy to carry out different tasks. The best time to try such a method is during vacations. Remember to always use ingredients that are essential in the detoxification process and can help neutralize free radicals, which could cause cellular damage.

These include oranges and mangoes, which give vitamin C, and whole eggs, milk, and liver that provides us vitamin A.  Almonds and multigrain cereals, on the other hand, give us our daily dose of vitamin E.

While ordinary people might not be aware of it, chefs help detoxify our bodies. He or she prepares foods that can help remove harmful chemicals that have accumulated inside our body over the years. The next time you dine out, thank the resident chef for helping you stay healthy and meet your fitness goals.
