In the world of business, human resource is one of the four factors of production. Human resources can be termed as economy, economics, labor, or the individuals within the firm. Human resource is the factor that controls, manage, or the factor that has been in-charge to maximize the use of the three more factors. The main objective of human resource is to return the investment of the company and then minimize the risk of failing. If there are unexpected unfortunate things that tend to occur, human resource is the factor responsible for the damage the situation has dealt.

Human resource is definitely one big factor for success of a business. If the human resource or the laborers and the managers are both effective and efficient, well, the company will not fail, not in any way.

However, human resources can only be efficient if every individual in the firm is properly oriented and trained. This is where the role of the HR workshops and seminars take place.

The first of all, one of the differences between these two is that, workshops takes the participation of the trainees by the use of team activities, role plays, group exercise and many more. All shall contribute to the training and learning process. Most of the time, workshops are on hand for the workers. Where as, seminars are done to mold individual’s attitude, to understand perspectives, to learn how to communicate effectively, to overcome anger, encourage morale in a way that there are no direct participation in the audience or merely listeners are needed.

An effective workshop and seminar will definitely produce an efficient and well-oriented workers and managers.

Logically speaking, the effectiveness of workshops and seminars are dependent on the way it is done. Boring workshops and seminars would result only to a waste of time and money. However, if it has been done effectively, human resource would be as effective as if nothing can ever go wrong.

HR workshops main goal is to motivate the workers to have the sense of teamwork. Here, trainees are taught to think that they are unique, as if every one of them is a part of the human anatomy or even a boat where they cannot live or progress without the help of each other. That kind of the thought if perceived will make the laborers work as if they are one.

Unity in a group makes it proficient. Then, they would understand that difference is not a gap but a bridge to work together as one. What the workshops mainly want their trainees to perceive is that understanding the difference of each other is a key to unity, which is also the key to a job well done.

To whatever degree or extent, structured and systematic practice is essential for a well-organized learning. Practice activities in every workshop session will do great. These will be appropriate for skills improving; therefore, human resource workshops would bring much for the company.

Workshops are not just training, as they tend to be. Workshops when effectively presented will also be a fun time for the workers. Having a rest, at least a day will ignite again the passion of the laborers to work.

On the other side, seminars are mostly done for the leaders. A leader sometimes needs an advice from other person, an expert or a specialist.

Seminars can only be productive if and only if you have gotten a good spokesperson. A spokesperson must have the enthusiasm, the experience, the confidence, the humility and humor, too. For these will encourage people to listen. Although seminars, frequently, are pure talks it can be as fun as workshops are by having a highly qualified and effective spokesperson.

So, attend, learn, understand, participate, and enjoy!
