Human synergy is important in creating positive relationships with each and every member of the workplace. Synergy usually occurs when two or more persons with different complementary characteristics cooperate. Just like in business, cooperation of people with technical and organizational skills happens very often.

Top chefs have sometimes become the center of insecurity – for those who are not as good as they are. The invisible wall that separates them to other chefs is quite irritating. In order to eliminate if not totally eradicate that, chefs are advised to initiate a good conversation and build positive relationships.

To be able to establish good relations among colleagues and comrades, one must specialize in forming high synergy. There is such a need in a cooperative interaction among groups that creates an enhanced combined effect. As a result, chefs will be inspired to work hard and create a chunky delicious food that sticks into your mouth!

Incentives of positive relationships include:

  • Increased motivation. Positive co-worker relationships play an important role in employee motivation. It brings the success of a good performance. Listening to their need and providing opportunities to them effectively lead to healthy relationships.
  • Credits recognized. In order to remain healthy in the workplace, the individual needs to be aware of a job well done and be able to appreciate the person/s behind it. Without ongoing acknowledgement of success, colleagues become annoyed, uncertain and even sarcastic about efforts in the workplace.
  • A happy kitchen is a productive kitchen. No wonder why people working together talk and laugh almost like a family. Do not take everything seriously. One of the most important impacts on people to perform well and be productive is being delighted and pleased in their work.
  • Fun! Fun! Fun! There are certain connections between you chef, and other people setting up outside the kitchen. Sometimes, taking an ice cream break or early dismissal in the workplace or having a dinner outside with your colleagues would be a nice idea in establishing positive relationships and camaraderie. Enjoy the day without forgoing the job to be done and that’s finally it!

It not easy being a top chef, but surely there are people whom you can trust and befriend by creating a harmonious atmosphere in the space around you. Interact with others in healthy and positive ways. Remember, if you want to improve the quality of your relationships with the individuals in your workplace, synergy must start with you.
